Congratulations
Communication from Kim Prpic:
Original date: 12/07/2002

Hey Cory,

It's Kim, congratulations and good luck with the new baby in April. Please keep us updated on Janet. Are you going to find out if it is a hockey player or a figure skater?

Joel told me to tell you that he doesn't know what the web site would be but he will look into it for you and email you after his road trip. He leaves Tuesday and comes back on Monday.

Joel has played in 16 games and has 20 points (8-12-20pts). Joel is really enjoying the hockey over here. It took a little getting used to for him in the beginning but he loves it now. He does miss the way it is played back home though.

Cory, I am going to give you my dad's e-mail address. He had a website that has all the update on the games. He loves hockey and he is into all of what is going on over here. I think he will be able to help you out with anything. Just let him know who you are, and I am sure he will be thrilled to help you out.

Have a good weekend.

Love, Kim and Joel

Hockey cards
Communication from Kim Prpic:
Original date: 12/07/2002

When I was at the hockey game today, I was talking to this Japanese guy named Yuki. He is the guy that takes all the pictures of Joel and made the hockey card of Joel. Anyways he had this card collection with him and he was showing me a few of Joel's hockey cards from Boston, I asked him if Joel gave them to him. He said no, that he has had them for a couple of years. Then he pulled out Robbie's Boston card. I can't believe it. Then he told me that he five other cards of Robbie. He said he even has a WHL card of Robbie. What a small world. Never in my wildest dreams would I think this Japanese man would have two of Joel's hockey cards and six of Robbie's and one day I would meet this man in Tokyo looking at these cards.

Joel on a road trip
Communication from Kim Prpic:
Original date: 11/13/2002

Hi Cory,

It's Kim! Thanks for forwarding that address. Joel is on a road trip right now. He gets home tonight so I will tell him about the e-mail. He will be pretty exicted. Joel got one goal the first game and one goal the second game. They won both games. Joel spent most of the time in the penalty box in both of the games. He is trying very hard to stay out of the box but it is so hard because he is so big. If he is near a scruffle they will give gim a penalty. They had a game tonight and he got a goal and won second star. They won tonight 3-0. He sounded happy. I forgot to ask him about this e-mail so I will make sure he reads it when he gets home.

Take care,
Kim

Hi Cory,

It's Kim! It's so nice to hear from you. Hockey is going well for Joel here. Last weekend Joel had two games. The first game Joel got kicked out of in the first ten minutes of the first period. The game on Sunday, Joel got one assist. He said he had an ok game, nothing great. Joel has played seven games so far and he has eight points. Their team is not winning lately. Joel has two games this weekend. I'll update you after the weekend. Please say hello to your wife.

Take care,
Kim

Hello, It's me, Joel Prpic
Communication from Joel Prpic

Thought I would update you on where I am playing hockey this year. I signed a deal in Tokyo, Japan with the Kokudo Bunnies. The deal was too good to turn down. I thiught I would be signing with a few NHL teams, then I thought it was going to be Germany and then this deal came about. By the time we got over here the season had started and I didn't have my visa yet so I hado to miss two games. Kim and I had to fly to Korea to get the paperwork finished for the visa's. First two games I had to adjust to the style of hockey over here. It actually reminds me of college hockey with the amount of games and the no red line rule. My third game I had a goal and an assist, the fourth game was the same with a goal and one assist and the fifth game, one goal and two assists. The team has been treating me really well. I have a road trip this weekend. We play Saturday and Sunday. We just got a computer a month ago. My mother saw your web site and told me to look at it. You did a really nice job, thank you. I have a hockey card with this team here, I am pretty sure if you get in contact with the Kokudo hockey team they will send you information and updates on me. Let me know if you need anything.

Thanks for everything,
Joel Prpic
